Until 2022, like most people in academic medicine, I published in books and journals. My academic output lives here. Since 2022, most of my writing has appeared at Sensible Medicine, a shared site featuring the voices of physicians, scientists, and thinkers.

As I got into the habit of writing, to make sure I had something to post on Sensible Medicine each week, I have found myself writing about things that have nothing to do with medicine (sensible or not). I use this Substack as a place to share these essays and reflections. I’ll publish no more than every other week. I hope you enjoy the content.
